One of my favorite things about the internet is being able to show my kids all the crazy crap I used to watch on TV.
The Saved By The Bell cast met up with Alf after Screech’s shrink ray shrank them to the size of TV waves
Mathnet: A pastiche of Dragnet where mathematicians solve crimes using math (Basically Numb3rs before it’s time and also for kids.)
The whole of SquareOne was awesome, but I 100% watched it for Mathnet
There was an Elephant Show and they sang Skinnamarink (I still remember all the arm motions)
Donald Duck went to a bizarre world of math (ala Alice in Wonderland) in Donald in Mathmagic Land and taught me how to play billiards and putt putt.
A ghost that helped kids solve mysteries by taking letters and rearranging them on signs or in the middle of the air. Did I put a pen on a necklace and carry around a journal in hopes that Ghostwriter would choose me to be on the team? Yes. Yes, I did. Was one of the dad of one of the kids played by Samuel Jackson? Yes. Yes, he was.
My kids are not impressed with these old tv shows, mostly they are convinced of my nerdiness. But I 100% thought I was going crazy for years with that Alf/Saved by the Bell crossover. Reply and let us know what weird memories do you have from being a kid.
