Independent Bookstore Day is literally my favorite day of the year. Ok, maybe second after my birthday.
Here in Chicago there’s a book crawl with 82 independent bookstores (or pop up stores) participating. 4 of which were right here in Evanston. Walking to them all with Mike was a great way to end the day. Grand total of bookstores visited: 15
It was a great day to be a book lover.

Some of the bookstores I made it to (left to right, top to bottom): Booked, Bookends & Beginnings, Three Avenues Bookshop, Book Cellar, Jarvis Square Books, Time and a Half Books, Partners in Crime, Pink Couch Books, and Roscoe Books.
Not pictured: The Understudy, Women and Children, Sketchbook, Middle Used Books, The Last Chapter, Goblin Market.
Maybe we’ll see you out there next year 💙
Happy Reading,
Carin & Andy
P.S. We’re starting another mailing! The Podcast Alert is a bi-weekly email that will come out two weeks before the podcast is released (on Sunday afternoon) and will have the information for the book so you can read it ahead of time! The first issue will come out May 10th. You can click here to sign up if you’re interested.
As a sneak peek - the first read of season 2 is Cosmoe’s Weiner Getaway. Read it before the next episode drops on May 9th!
